I got into this industry quite by accident, but 5 years later I am partners with a successful business, and co-owner of the supplier.
I started from humble beginning, running a carpet cleaning company with our husband.
The two of us were the only several employees, and did everything ourselves, then when he and I got divorced I got the home and he got the business, so I very much needed a task (or else I would lose the house, too). I started checking with all the local businesses and offices, and that is where I met Nacho, but nacho owned a very small Heating and A/C supplier, with only several employees, and what he needed was an executive assistant to run the front office. Although I knew nothing about Heating and A/C work, I knew how to organize and manage a small business, so I took the task. Now that I was there to answer the phones and handle the paperwork, Nacho was completely free to focus on the heating and cooling repairs. He was able to take on more tasks, and get them done more suddenly, because I was ably handling every other aspect of the Heating and A/C supplier. Within six weeks the profits have more than doubled, and both of us are suddenly becoming known as a single of the best Heating and A/C companies in town. I have started to learn more about our Heating and A/C techs, and use that to help myself and others route the right tasks to the right people. The two of us are more than a little Heating and A/C supplier to me, both of us are a family, and I am very lucky to have found this task!
