My stepmother just got many up-to-date commercial a/c devices installed in her big beach household and I figured her cooling costs would be entirely high however I was wrong.
She told me this past year she ran the A/C a lot in the beach household and her power bill was only $140.
I guess that is because they have improved the efficiency of the devices over the years. It used to be if you ran your a/c device all afternoon like she does your power bill would be $400 or more per month. Technology has certainly helped us in areas of our lives and I am so grateful for that. I also noticed that the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C appliances in cars are much more efficient, and reliable, than the old times when you would turn on your A/C device and you could actually feel your car slowing down from all of the power it used. I can’t wait till they have self-driving cars everywhere, after that I can come back to visit and not have to fret about driving in the stressful traffic. I guess all of us need quite a few more years till all of us see a lot of them on the roads. I used to have to put refrigerant in my a/c device in my Vega every so often along with a quart of oil a week. Now you can go quite a few years without having to worry about charging the A/C in your car. I am glad the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C device companies are focusing on efficiency and helping save our world from all this pollution.
