With the way things are these days, it’s hard for me to remember what patience was like. It seems as though everything is available like either right now or tomorrow at the latest. It’s really weird to think back on the skateboard I ordered from California that took 8 weeks to get to me. That seemed like an eternity then. All I wanted to do was stay out of the air conditioning forever and on that board. I loved skating back then and it was so tough to wait. These days, I could customize a skateboard from the heating and cooling comfort of my house and have it here in a couple of days. I wouldn’t have to wait that long inside the HVAC cooling if I was willing to go with a skateboard that had already been built. With the emphasis on getting what we want right away, it’s harder to see the value of the long term investment. That’s what I have to remember when I pay my HVAC service plan fees throughout the year. The money that I spend on HVAC maintenance is money well spent. There is just no doubt about that. The proof is in the pudding for sure. HVAC equipment that gets consistent, seasonal HVAC maintenance lasts nearly seven years longer than those that don’t. I mean that’s like adding 30 percent to the investment you made in the HVAC equipment in the first place. So, I don’t have any hesitation at all to stroke that check to the HVAC company to keep my heat pump in primo condition. It’s just like stashing money in the bank.
