I have been in the heat and a/c business now for going on 20 years and I really enjoy my career.
However, I want to say that sometimes the job can be tough.
If you run into a really challenging heat and a/c system repair it makes your day totally ruined. I had one of these the other week where I was at the customer’s home for almost the entire work day trying to fix their central heating and air conditioning system unit. And it turned out that it was not even possible to repair it after all and that they needed a brand new and very up to date central heating and air conditioning system. Sometimes we don’t know if the damage is that bad or not until we really look into the issue and see what’s wrong. The customer was not happy about this so I had to deal with them getting irate with me. I mean it’s not my fault your central heating and air conditioning system took a dive! It is days like this when you sometimes want to call it quits and find a new career. But after unwinding and going home for the day to breathe and relax, you realize that one bad apple shouldn’t spoil the whole bunch as the saying goes. Then you realize it just comes with the many things of being a certified heating and air conditioning specialist working for a heat and a/c company. In any business you have your good and bad days and it is no different when it comes to the heating and cooling business.
