I used to be an HVAC professional a long time ago and I want to learn about the new technology out there now so that when the time comes to work on mine I will be able to do some things myself.
I don’t have all of the tools I used to have when I ran my own company but I still have some of the main tools I would use.
If I run into a repair job that is too much for me I will just call my HVAC tech friend and see if he can come out and help me with it. He’s been working here in my town for years and we became good friends when we discovered we both do cold water swims each morning. He works at the local business doing service calls and I see him each morning when I go for my dip. We both stay in the cold water for about 15 minutes and then head off to do our stuff. I come right home and jump in front of my oil space heater, which is hot from when I turned it on before I left, and then follow that with a 20 minute hot bath in my nice big bathtub. I am still a bit sick so I limit my dips to 10 minutes now because it can take a lot out of you if you stay in too long and don’t have a lot of energy to start with. I think I’ll turn on my central heat now and go for a quick dip.
