When you’re an HVAC technician, it’s hard to find a realtor who can relate

When you’re an HVAC technician like me, it’s really hard to find a realtor who can actually relate to what you’re looking for in a house or a property.

As an HVAC technician, you can probably understand that one of the most important things we look for when buying a house is a state of the art heating and air conditioning system.

Most of the homes that I have looked at in our price range have been middle grade HVAC systems. I’m pretty sure that’s because the HVAC contractors who were in charge of installing the heating and A/C systems in these houses weren’t planning on living in them! I know for a fact that if another HVAC contractor or HVAC technician friend of mine happened to be working on building his own home, he would put a high efficiency, state of the art heating and cooling system in his home. And not only that, but any HVAC technician worth his salt would also install a new smart thermostat system in the home too, probably one with zone control heating and air conditioning. At least I know that’s what I would do if I were building my own dream home. In addition to a smart thermostat, I would also put in radiant heated flooring in the living areas and I would install a whole home air purification system that would be able to run in tandem with my heating and cooling units. That’s why it’s hard to find a realtor who understands. Maybe I should switch professions and become a realtor who specializes in housing for HVAC technicians.
