I just bought a modern smart thermostat.
This is the first time I have ever had one of these things and I have to say that I am having a strenuous time figuring out how to use the darn thing! I am not young and am used to the way things used to be with thermostats.
It was plain and simple. Just the flick of a switch and you could turn on the central heating or the central air conditioner. This smart thermostat really complicates things for this older dude. I can not figure out how to set up the app that controls it on the ipad and cell phone first off. Then I can not figure out how to even do the programming of the smart thermostat itself by hand. I believe I may need to spend a few bucks and call the local heating and air conditioner corporation. This may be the only way to learn how to use this smart thermostat. There should have been some kind of instruction manual that came with it but there was not. I for sure believe I am going to call the heating and air conditioner supplier that I bought this thing from. If they can not teach me how to use this thing I may just end up eating the 40 bucks I paid for it and just go back to my seasoned basic digital thermostat. That would be the best thing to do. After all, I need to be able to operate my central heating and air conditioner plan when the weather ends up getting drastic hot or drastic cold!
