When I took my car to the auto shop recently, it was because my cooling system wasn’t working.
They checked out my car and the professionals told me that my AC compressor was bad and I would need to get that replaced. I wasn’t very satisfied with the price of the AC compressor that they wanted to install with the costs of labor. This job was going to cost me around $1,000 and that was money that I didn’t have. I did look into different AC compressors that fit my car though and I asked a friend of mine if he could help me with the installation. Sure enough, he was there with some beer and said he was ready to get to work when I had the AC compressor delivered to my home. It was sort of a pain to reach the bolts to get the old AC compressor out, but after working very hard in the tight space, we were able to manage eventually. My buddy was saying how they build cars these days to discourage people from wanting to do the work on their own. Most people are taking their cars to the auto shop to get the parts replaced or the engine fixed. Well, I thought as long as we were able to handle the job, that would save me a ton of cash. I couldn’t believe how well the AC system worked after we got the new AC compressor in there and I’m even happier about how much money I saved on the part replacement!
