I had never had to deal with a man who was overly emotional.
I had four brothers and a dad who thought that an emotional man wasn’t a man.
Even when my brother broke his arm, my dad told him to suck it up. Even when he went into surgery for the broken arm, my dad told him that pain did not exist for a real man. My brothers were not allowed to cry because it was a woman’s emotion. So, when I called the HVAC company to have an HVAC contractor come to the house and show me what type of system I had, I never expected to have an emotional man come into my home. He was over 6’ by several inches, and he looked like a football linebacker. Manly had to be his middle name. We sat in the living room as he showed me different HVAC systems that would give me everything I needed in a HVAC system. When it came to eco-friendly HVAC systems, he got emotional. He was practically pleading with me to go eco-friendly, which is what I thought every HVAC system was nowadays. He showed me several different types of HVAC systems that were totally eco-friendly, but I didn’t like the ductless HVAC system. There was something about having those heavy units on my wall. I understood the concept, but I didn’t like the look. You would have thought I had punched him in the head, he got so upset. He lowered his head and put it in his hands. If he hadn’t looked so pathetic, it would have been laughable. I almost agreed with him until it hit me that this was my home and my HVAC system and not his.
