Changing my way of life

For a long time, my lifestyle was very sedentary. I was aware of all of the warnings and that my habits were unhealthy. I was at risk of severe health problems. I still didn’t do anything differently. I was unwilling to put in any effort and so I continued my unhealthy habits. It wasn’t until someone I knew actually died from obesity-related complications that I took a more careful look at my life. I asked myself how important my health and lifespan was to me. I knew that if I continued the same way, I was going to die early. I didn’t want to go through surgeries, require medication or need to give up activities I enjoyed. I decided to be proactive and began looking into workout programs. I knew there was no way I could accomplish my goals alone. I needed a personal trainer and organized workout classes in order to stay on track. I needed to be held accountable. It wasn’t difficult to find a personal fitness expert. The trainer is super nice and supportive. I have never found exercising to be in any way enjoyable. The trainer introduces new workouts at every session. It gives me something to look forward to. She also suggested that I try yoga classes. At first, I wasn’t sure about yoga. I’ve never been flexible. After the first class, I was hooked. I’ve found that yoga is a great way to build strength, improve range of motion and balance and also helps to get rid of stress. It puts me in a positive mindset. I have definitely changed my way of life for the better. I can see and feel the results.
