When I told my husband what I wanted for my birthday this year, he looked at me very skeptically, like he did not even believe me.
See, I am a very practical person, and I really don’t like things like jewelry or fancy clothes.
This year, I told him that I wanted a new smart thermostat for our house, and he looked at me like I was trying to trick him or something. I think maybe he would really rather give me something more practical like a thermostat system, but he’s always afraid to do that. I think he has bought into the lie of society that women only like new clothes and purses and fancy perfume. If my husband gave me some diamond earrings or some fancy jewelry, I would probably just pass out from shock. Plus, I would probably be mad because I don’t like fancy things like that! Nope, I am a simple woman and the only thing that I was interested in getting for my birthday this year was a new smart thermostat system for our house. I have been reading all about new digital smart thermostat systems, and ever since I found out about them, I have been wanting one. Our old thermostat is horrible and we need a new one anyway. But with a new smart thermostat like the one I want, you can program it and adjust it using an app from your smartphone from anywhere in the world as long as you are connected to Wi-Fi. I really hope he gets me what I want!
