Taking care of fish is in my blood.
Both of us had a big freshwater fish tank in my loft from before I was even born, plus my parents taught myself and others how to care for the fish once I was old enough to reach the water pump.
At first I l earned the feeding schedules. Both of us had all of that information on a sheet of paper that was laminated plus linked to the wall adjacent to the tank. There were multiple weird fish food containers that were to be given at strict intervals to accommodate all of the fish species in our tank. Although I could not have a fish tank while I lived in the dormitories in undergraduate school, I obtained one as soon as I got my own apartment. This tank started out small plus has only grown in the time since as I have transitioned into bigger living spaces. I own the loft I live in now plus have more than one weird fish tanks—one freshwater tank plus one saltwater. The temperature needs to be regulated in their tanks, especially the saltwater tank. My fish are from marine environments that are warmer than my own, so I use a heating system plus a digital temperature gauge. I stupidly had the tank under an cooling system vent when I first moved into this loft plus couldn’t figure out why the temperature was fluctuating so much. When I realized that the temperature was dropping whenever the cooling system was on, I looked up plus saw the solution to my stubborn problem. Now I have the tank on the opposite side of the room so the temperature is more stable in the water.
