I was so over the moon and the sky when I found out that I was going to be getting a promotion at the heating as well as A/C system contractor I work for! I have been a heating and cooling specialist at this HVAC contractor going on 8 years now, and because I have done such a good task and know my stuff they want to promote me to chief heating as well as A/C system specialist.
Being promoted to chief heating as well as A/C system specialist would mean that I do not have to work my tail off as strenuous anymore out in the HVAC field. I would be spending a lot of time around the office training current heat and air conditioning system workers that were hired right out of heating and cooling university. This will be great! Not to mention, of course a pay raise comes with all this. I don’t understand how you get a raise for having an easier task, but I am not complaining. That is how all upper management people are these mornings. They more or less get paid more to periodically do little to nothing, depending on the business. I kind of feel guilty taking this for that genuinely reason, but in this case I will be earning my buck, just in a different way with much less physical work of having to service and install central heating and a/c units. This promotion is going to take place sometime next month I was told. I am so looking forward to it! Not just for the higher pay, but for the easier work as well.
