I was so over the moon and the sky when I found out that I was going to be getting a promotion at the heating and air conditioning company I work for! I have been a heating and cooling specialist at this HVAC company going on 8 years now, and because I have done such a great job and know my stuff they want to promote me to chief heating and air conditioning specialist.
Being promoted to chief heating and air conditioning specialist would mean that I do not have to work my tail off as hard anymore out in the HVAC field.
I would be spending a lot of time around the office training new heat and a/c workers that were hired right out of heating and cooling school. This will be great! Not to mention, of course a pay raise comes with all this. I don’t understand how you get a raise for having an easier job, but I am not complaining. That is how all upper management people are these days. They more or less get paid more to sometimes do little to nothing, depending on the business. I kind of feel guilty taking this for that very reason, but in this case I will be earning my buck. Just in a different way with much less physical labor of having to repair and install central heating and air conditioning system units. This promotion is going to take place sometime next month I was told. I am so looking forward to it! Not just for the higher pay, but for the easier work as well.
