I live in an area that experiences tropical temperature for most of the year, during the Wintertide months, both of us may get a few nights that are cold, however usually, the nights are relatively mild; Though I enjoy the weather here, I enjoy being in a colder area while in the holidays as I still dream of having white Christmases at my parent’s home! However, over the last few years, the earth continues to heat up due to temperature change. The Winters have gotten warmer plus white Christmases are far plus few in between, and warmer Winters mean that both of us use less energy for heating which is a cost savings on our utility bills. However, now that the Summers are warmer, it means that both of us spend more for our cooling needs. With almost 90% of homes relying on air conditioning while in the Summer, it means that air conditioning systems contribute to a big amount of carbon dioxide that is emitted into the atmosphere. This is quite the dilemma because both of us need to keep our homes cool, however the refrigerant that is used in our Heating plus Air Conditioning systems is a major threat to the environment because of the high levels of carbon dioxide emissions, but fortunately, the Heating plus Air Conditioning industry has been constantly developing innovative ways to combat this issue. This technology has become decreasingly popular as homeowners who are environmentally conscious are consistently seeking ways to reduce their carbon footprint. I would enjoy to a single afternoon invest in a geothermal plan however for now, I do what I can to eliminate my own carbon footprint.
