A lot of people experience problems with mold during the summer months when the weather is really moist and warm.
I have been experiencing trouble with mold during the winter and that’s because I live in an RV.
It is extremely difficult to heat and cool a recreational vehicle. One reason is due to the lack of insulation. The walls are only a half inch thick. It’s difficult to keep the heat in during the winter and it’s even harder to keep the heat out during the summer. Last year, we were staying in a warmer climate with rain. During our winter at the resort, we experienced some problems with mold. One day I woke up and the windows in the kitchen were covered with white hairy mold. The previous day the windows were perfectly fine. Mold grows very quickly, especially in a habitable place like a warm and moist window ledge or sill. We tried to get some containers of damp rid, but they didn’t really help much. We had to buy a dehumidifier to stop the mold. The dehumidifier removed all of the excess moisture from the indoor air. The dehumidifier removed the moisture and returned warm air that was dry. It didn’t cost a fortune to use the dehumidifier at night, when the temperatures were often cold. It was a quick and affordable solution. Next year we are going to move further down south for the winter months. I’d rather be somewhere with warm and dry weather. I don’t care if I see snow in January or December.
