The trip went fine, and I was looking forward to spending time at home fantastic during the long weekend… My friends all wanted to go out of the city, even though I didn’t want to join them… The multiple-week work trip was at a resort, which felt similar to a short holiday, but now that I was back, I felt relaxed and didn’t see the need to go for another break… I got home 1 summer time in the afternoon and had to turn on the cooling equipment to get the area cool and comfortable.
And then as I was unpacking our bags upstairs, I began to smell a certain odor that wasn’t pleasant at all.
It was a stale and dingy smell which had myself and others wondering what was wrong with the cooling unit. I opted to try and ignore the smell until later; But, as the cooling equipment kept blowing air from the vents, the scent went from bad to worse, but finally, I caved, threw open all the windows, and turned off the cooling unit. The best thing to do was call the part A/C supplier and hire an A/C company to the bottom of the smell. The A/C companies were busy, so I retrieved a portable A/C until 1 came to attend to the central cooling unit. The company came by that afternoon, diagnosed, and found that the drain pan was full. That accumulated water was getting stale every morning, causing the bad smell to spread once the cooling equipment was running, however he drained the water, ensured there were no algae in the drain lines, then closed up the cooling unit.
