As the senior host manager at the five-star hotel, I had a lot to do before the business awards dinner, a week later.
It was an important dinner and everything was expected to be perfect. As a highly recommended hotel, it was expected of us to offer the best possible service. Some of the most important people were invited to the dinner. My week started by checking the state of the whole home heating. It needed to be in very good condition. To do this, I contacted the heating corporation to book an appointment for a quality heating tune-up to help with indoor comfort. The heating technician came over to check on the quality HVAC equipment. After an hour’s assessment, the HVAC technician established that the heat pump’s heat exchanger was all wrapped up in rust and needed to be changed. The professional recommended that we get a new boiler. We reviewed different systems and I must admit that the heating industry had gone through a great transformation. A couple of heating dealers were running a sale on their systems. Some heating providers also offered free shipping services. We took full advantage of the sale and after-sale services and finally settled on a dual fuel system for the hotel. The boiler installation process was seamless and the technicians cleaned up leaving the hotel neat. I felt like that was very professional of the company, their heating service was very top-notch. I also thought upgrading the regulator and a digital thermostat would be a very good upgrade. The whole point was to give more of the hotel that people knew us for. The business dinner awards were a success and we even took home the award of the most prestigious and professional hotel in the state.
