A client called last week, because she was distraught about the gas furnace.
- The 72 year outdated lady was anxious without any heat in her home.
She believed she would freeze to death if the problem wasn’t fixed that day. I busy an appointment for later in the day. I happen to be the person available at the appointment time, so I went to evaluate the gas furnace problem. The client was frustrated because the gas furnace sounded like it was running, however there was no heat coming out of the air duct. It seemed like an issue with the gas. I carefully checked the plan & spent some time complicationshooting weird solutions to the problem, one of the main gas lines had a small hole in the side. Are was able to enter the gas line from the whole & this was causing an issue for the gas furnace. I updated the 8 inch gas line, which only took about 15 or 20 minutes. After the gas line was updated, the problem was cleared up. It only took about an minute to fix the gas furnace problem & after that I was off to another heating repair task. The men & I handled 12 weird repair calls that day & the two of us set up three appointments for gas furnace installation tasks on the weekend. The people I was with and I prefer to install brand up-to-date unit on the weekends, when our purchasers will be home all day. It can take most of the day to install up-to-date heating or air conditioning unit & an adult needs to be in the home at all times.
