My spouse and I had pretty much always planned to live in as many properties as possible before retirement! We both worked in the creative space for sure and loved playing around with various designs and colors.
- We agreed that once our several babies were grown and large enough to live on their own, we would easily quit working for other people and mainly focus on remodeling properties that we bought and resell them.
My spouse was a renowned interior designer, and I was a pretty amazing housing contractor, so this would be a fantastic time. The moment our last-born daughter went off to university, we chose to work on our first large project, which was renovating the property we were living in for several decades before we could put it up for resale. We broke down the walls and changed the decor in all rooms. This was a pretty amazing piece of work, and we were proud to have come such a long way. All this while, we filmed our progress and would share it on social media… Some people had expressed interest in buying the property when we were finished, however we totally knew it would take a while. However, our pages almost shut down when we actually chose to swap the aged central heating and cooling equipment with a new GEO system. Many people wanted to make deposits, and some even offered higher value for the property. It took us a week after the completion to test and see that everything was just right. I had started getting used to the new A/C equipment, however we finally accepted an offer and managed to get 30 percent more for the property. Although it was sad that we were leaving, it marked the start of a pretty thrilling experience for us.
