Sometimes I still long for the days of going into a lovely office in a a building downtown. I always enjoyed that no matter the weather outside, the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C in the office was always perfect. There were plenty of other perks as well. And, there was the fact that I had a steady paycheck and a false sense of security. I watched as numerous of our mentors were unceremoniously pushed out of their positions just as they were about to acquire that sizable dollar. Instead of waiting for that push, I moneyed in early to go out on our own for the last 15 or 20 years of our job. Suddenly, there was no more awesome Heating, Ventilation, and A/C controlled, oak paneled office. Instead, I was negotiating with our fiance for the rights to one of the guest dining rooms. My modern office was in our house. It took a bit of time to get our bearings but, soon I found a way to utilize our skills for resite I kept myself. The majority of our time is spent in our living room. Skype and internet conferencing have allowed me to cut our travel requirements down dramatically. However, the guest room sits at the far end of the house. It catches the direct sunlight all day. It became obvious I would need to have our own cooling source. The Heating, Ventilation, and A/C men recommended using the ductless heating and cooling technology. So, I had them install a mini cut Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system. It works truly well. Now, I don’t have to overcool the entire house just to have the office be comfortable.
