My husband has worked as an HVAC technician for many years

For many years now, my husband Eddie has worked as an HVAC technician. He started working as an HVAC technician right out of high school when he finished the HVAC courses at our local technical school. For the most part, he has always enjoyed his job at our county’s largest heating and cooling company. Eddie likes tinkering around with mechanical things and finding out what makes things work. He also likes to help people, and so fixing furnaces and air conditioning systems is usually very fulfilling to him personally. But in recent months, he hasn’t liked the hours he’s been working at the HVAC company and he’s getting fed up with one of his bosses there. Eddie is now thinking about leaving this company even though he’s been working as an HVAC tech there for a very long time. He’s torn about it because he really likes his customers and his co-workers but he doesn’t want to have to deal with his boss anymore. He says that he’s just getting too old for that kind of thing. I don’t really blame him, either. I’m not at the point in my life either where I like being told what to do. Eddie says that he knows more about heating and air conditioning than all of his bosses know put together. I think he’s probably right. Eddie definitely knows what he’s talking about when it comes to furnaces, radiant heated flooring, air conditioning systems, and whole home air purification systems. I don’t know if I want him to quit the HVAC company, though. It’s always scary when you start something new!
