While on trip with friends our child caught a excruciating cold.
I am sure that he feels it is due to the weather even though I believe it is from too much gatheringing plus not enough sleep.
His resistance was down plus the virus caught hold of her. Anyway, I was sad about another thing that happened on his trip as well. The lodge that they rented had evaluated out when I looked into the amenities. It was fully furnished, had a monitored security plan plus could sleep everyone comfortably. It even had Wi-Fi plus cable. I felt that it was a good place for 3 young ladies to spend a couple of weeks at the beach before returning to college, however seeing as it was the end of summer time they didn’t expect for the evening time temperatures to drop into the lower fifties. I knew that the lodge had a/c even though I never thought to ask if it had heat as well. On the first evening they were there I got a call from our child saying that they couldn’t find a way to turn on the heat. There wasn’t even a thermostat because the cooling systems in the place were all portable a singles. I thought surely there must be some sort of heat installed so I called the owner. He said that the lodge was closed up after Labor Day plus only reopened after Memorial Day. this meant that they never had any heat source installed because it was vacant while in the colder months. I was shocked plus told our child to go by a couple of electric furnaces in the family rooms. I can understand why they would not want to go the expense of installing heat however they should have supplied those for guest just in case.
