Last Wintertide at the end of the season, our wifey & I found out that our Furnace needed to be replaced.
Since the frigid weather was almost over, our wifey & I decided to wait until the next Wintertide season to make the replacement.
The people I was with and I use the fireplace & a space heating system for the rest of the winter, and now it is the end of the summer time & I am starting to guess about the heating system replacement. I called a couple of different sites this week so I could get estimates for the device & the upgrade prices. The prices for the new heating system are higher than they were last year. I did not expect the cost of the heating system to be $600 higher. The people I was with and I particularly should have replaced the heating system at the end of the frigid season last year, instead of the beginning of the season this year. Now every one of us have no option except to pay the high prices. Since every one of us are going to spend a chunk of money, our wifey & I have decided to upgrade to a more energy efficient heating system. The last heating system that every one of us bought for our lake house ad & 85% AFUE rating. The new heating system that every one of us picked out has a 95% AFUE rating. The AFUE rating is a number that tells the buyer how efficiently the device will perform. The higher the AFUE rating, the more energy efficient the device will be. The people I was with and I should be able to save money each week on the energy bills & that will help us pay for the new heating system.
