I am a particularly practically minded person, for better or worse, & I consistently have been.
I was an ace at math in school, until we got into the higher grades & more “fuzzy” math.
When it comes to dollars & cents, to measuring & arithmetic, I am excellent at math, however when we get imaginary numbers & variables involved I get lost. Thankfully I was able to find a task that used the skills I had & didn’t ask of me anything I could not do. The Heating & Air Conditioning industry, & it’s technology, is unquestionably based on the highest forms of math & physics, & rely on the laws of thermodynamics. I consistently thought a task in the Heating & Air Conditioning industry was beyond my grasp, because I was lost with these kinds of numbers. There are numerous weird aspects to the business, however, & no matter how great an air conditioner is, it still needs ductwork. I found my niche in the making & upgrade of high quality air ducts, air vents, & duct fans, something that requires absolute precision. I do ductwork & nothing else, so I have quickly become an expert in the field. For the last more than five weeks I have rarely even had to touch an air duct, because they have me supervise numerous weird work crews. They do the ductwork prep, I go in & check all of their measurements, I do the math, I make sure everything will fit perfectly, after that I check on the ductwork periodically to make sure the work is up to our standards.
