My youngsters consider themselves pranksters, & while this can be aggravating at times, I really do care about their mischief, but kids should be able to have fun, as long as it isn’t dangerous or mean spirited at all, & I myself am a giant fan of pranks! Last week I went into the top of the cupboard for my secret hidden package of Oreo cooking that I keep hidden from the youngsters; The package was empty, containing only a note with a smiley face saying “you’ve been fooled.” I will disclose I got a laugh out of that one, although I did miss my cookies.
In response I took over the temperature control for the central Heating, Ventilation, & A/C method & used it to have a little fun of my own.
The youngsters don’t like things care about central Heating, Ventilation, & A/C systems, they just believe how to push the button on the control when it gets too tepid in the house, and so they didn’t believe it was a smart temperature control, that I could control from my iPhone while I looked care about I was playing Candy Crush, but first I used the zone control function to break the AC to my youngsters family rooms while the rest of the home stayed cool. It took a half an hour but they finally came out of their rooms, tepid & hot, & turned down the temperature control, then when they left, I turned the heating on, but only in their rooms, & that got a much quicker response. They asked me if the AC was broken, & I said it wasn’t, & that they had been fooled.
