Lessons on achieving excellent air quality as taught by my HVAC savvy brother

The issue of air quality is increasingly becoming a demand for many households today.

There is need to breathe in the fresh air that is free from contaminants. With many airborne diseases today, it is not surprising that homeowners with sensitive kids and spouses will work extra hard to afford air purifiers as a way of minimizing pollution. Unfortunately, poor air quality is inevitable since contaminants may be external such that they come from outside. It is even more challenging when the allergens are naturally found in the air. I never thought about this until my brother brought it to my attention one time when we visited our parents over the holidays. I seemed to have an unending cold that I could not explain. It intensified when pants flowered, and a lot of bees moved around. But even so, it never really went away and seemed to recur no matter how careful I was. He let me know that I could be suffering from impurities in the air and that the only solution was to get a good air purifier, preferably one that used HEPA filters. He is a seasoned HVAC contractor who has worked for different people and was very knowledgeable about purification systems. He was kind enough to let me know that the contaminated air constantly triggered my allergies, and he suspected that pollen and insect remains could be the major issue I dealt with. He advised me to buy a good air purifier and to monitor my progress constantly. I tried it for the first three months, and surprisingly I did not have any cold. My nose cleared, and my throat was normal after a long time.
