I can do nothing about the temperature control settings

Usually my wife plus I stay in hotel rooms while we’re actually on holiday. Since we stay within the country, we always have the best luck just remaining with one of the popular hotel companies that have locations in every major area in every state. Sadly, we had some pretty awful experiences with the worst kind of accommodations during our last holiday—things like sickening roaches plus mildew that you shouldn’t have to put up with in a four star hotel. Our next holiday was planned for the gulf coast so we came to the conclusion that perhaps it would be nicer to find a holiday rental where you pay yearly, weekly, or even daily rates. You can find residences plus condominiums in all sorts of sizes plus locations that are available to rent in these time frames. Normally you’d be paying weekly rent on an annual lease contract, however these holiday rentals are more of an actual cross between that world plus the world of motels plus hotels. There really is plenty of payment flexibility however with the sort of accommodations that several hotels do not afford at comparable rates. Although a beach location was a preferred choice, we soon found that our current home base for the next four weeks was incredibly sizzling plus humid inside plus out. To our ultimate horror, when we tried to change the thermostat settings, we came to find that the thermostat had been locked by the property manager. The people I was with and I called them in haste only to find out that the locked thermostat was mentioned in fine print directly inside our contract. To have no control over your heating plus cooling machine while paying top dollar to rent accommodations seems like madness to me. Sadly, we were stuck with the less than comfortable living arrangement for about four weeks.
