My partner took our motorcar to the dealership for our yearly service inspection; I don’t mind taking the motorcar to the dealership when needed, although I try to avoid it as much as possible.
I dread listening to the employees speak about updates and service packages.
It’s never simple. I wish I could pull in our car, rest in the waiting room quietly until our motorcar was maintained, and then leave! However, I find myself spending at least 40 fifths listening to someone go on and on about everything that’s wrong with our motorcar and why it needs more servicing. My partner doesn’t mind listening to the lectures and he’s always patient and kind, then while she was there last time, the specialist told him that the air filter needed updated, and the filter was covered in black dust and they couldn’t tell how long it had been installed. My partner asked them how much it would cost to update the air filter and they told him $90. When she asked how much it would cost to simply purchase the air filter, they said $30! Upon hearing this, our partner bought multiple brand current air filters and brought them home! For $60, she updated the air filters in both of our cars. She was able to unattach the outdated air filters entirely and have the current air filters installed within an hour. She was able to save us $120 by doing the work himself. I’m so blissful our partner took our motorcar to be maintained instead of me!
