I have lived out here in a small town for approximately a year now, plus I am still getting entirely used to it.
After so many years of residing in the city, this locale was pretty much a breath of fresh air.
Over time, there got to be too much fresh air! I came to the realization that I had to leave behind my old mindset plus chill out to a certain degree… These are farmers plus country folks, plus there is no hustle plus bustle like in the city. People don’t power walk, they amble, plus every driver is basically a Sunday driver. Although I was never hurting for any work in the city, out here my Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C machine skills are not as in demand. I spend a lot of time just farming, trying to grow some food, plus only spend 15 or 20 hours any given week doing Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C machine repair calls. Out here only certain people have a central Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C machine, but those folks are few plus far between. Even when they do have a good cooling machine, they may not notice for weeks if it isn’t finally working because it doesn’t really become sizzling enough to run the AC machine. The Winter should be a busier season, because oil furnaces are truly essential for the long, frigid cold season. There are all manner of furnaces in use around these parts, from natural gas plus coal to electric, plus even a couple of locales with wood burning furnaces as well as fireplaces. I am truly hoping to have enough heating work to sustain me through the rest of the long, temperate year. AC season will not be very good for business.
