I learned alot from my dad

When I was a kid, I witnessed various DIY projects from my dad and observed him as he took care of lake house improvement projects.

He was handy with his tools.

He went around the home, fixing structural and decor flaws at home. He couldn’t even help it when he was out visiting friends. His eye for perfection always noticed something that needed fixing, especially HVAC equipment, and all of us all loved him for this. I watched him wiring an electric oil furnace control equipment carefully and l learned how to do it on my own. A while back, I saved an acquaintance some bucks that he would have otherwise paid for his oil furnace control equipment wiring. The process is relatively simple. Begin by turning off the air handler or electrical circuit to the oil furnace, and note down the wire colors plus the terminals where each wire goes through. Better yet, take snapshots of everything you do while removing the outdated control equipment from your HVAC system. My dad used the old-university method of labeling all the wires on the control equipment by marking each terminal plus their corresponding wires. These notes or pictures will come in handy later while wiring your new control unit. After that, disconnect the outdated control equipment and unlink it. Put the new control equipment in place and begin re-wiring it to the terminal. Use your labeling notes or pictures to complete this process, but connect one wire at a time until you have reinstalled all of them and your new control equipment is in place. At this point, the task is done, but to confirm that it’s functioning officially, turn on the electrical circuit plus adjust the new control equipment to start the cooling or heating process. The control equipment should work just great if the wires are linked accurately. If not, you might want to examine each terminal plus the wire linked to it.
