Brothers say they prefer fireplace; wait for December

When I was a child I remember how happy our siblings would get about official chores if it meant that they were spending time with our Mom, then they were so obsessed with imimportant our father that they would go out of their way to do horrible tasks just to get some attention from him; I also suppose that they loved demonstrating some variety of young masculinity from an early age. I suppose it’s in their biology that they want to split things, carry things, & service things all the time. This is absolutely why they were obsessed with our traditional wood burning fireplace when all of us were younger. I remember how happy they were about piling firewood into the hearth & watching the fire lower into a viable heating option, every one of us routinely spent October & November utilizing our family fireplace & our siblings could not have been happier about it. They honestly fawned over the process of building a fire & keeping the lake house moderate for the family. However, I remember our Mom’s opinion of their fireplace obsession – he found it amusing, and repeatedly, he told them to get used to building fires unquestionably efficiently & splitting wood, because he had quite a surprise for them when the full depths of Winter set in around December, however when the outdoor air temperature plummeted to below zero, our siblings suddenly did not prefer the process of tearing, hauling, & stacking firewood anymore, suddenly, all of us were back to using the forced air furnace & forgot all about the traditional fireplace until the next mild fall season rolled around.
