How our Heating & A/C handles the weather

Winters in the south regularly fluctuate quite a bit.

I have been getting afternoons of what I consider cold.

I have wind, rain plus freezing hot plus cold temperatures in the 50s plus occasionally 40s. My heating plan has to pump out air all night plus afternoon long. It is horrible being cooped up in the house. Then a few afternoons later the hot plus cold temperatures will start out in the low 60s plus work their way into the 78s, then suddenly I am wearing shorts, a tank top plus wishing I had our AC unit running. Thank goodness I do have a central Heating & A/C system. The unit decides heating or cooling, not me. I set the temperature at 69 degrees plus let it do the rest. In the Wintertide mainly I am experiencing heating in order to get up to 69 degrees! On unusual afternoons when the weather gets a little warmer, the Heating & A/C is either not operating or entirely cooling the home to 69 degrees. I don’t need to touch a button or mess with anything. Another perk is that the control unit I have with this plan alerts me on the weather outside. I used to watch the news, log on our laptop or check the weather app on our iphone… Now when I walk by the control unit in the hallway it lights up plus shows me the forecast. I guess what temperature it is inside, outside plus what the weather will do later in the afternoon. It allows me to dress accordingly for the afternoon plus guess if I am getting heat or a/c this week.
