I think the time I spent toiling retail was sort of soul-crushing, plus I could be fired at any time, but now that I am an Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C worker I have confidence, plus a firm belief in our worth as a worker! Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C skills allow myself and others to put food on the table, keep a roof over our family’s heads, plus still have our weekends free to care about life
First of all, I don’t want this to sound enjoy I am bashing retail workers, and of course I am not! A lot of our friends work retail jobs, plus I myself have worked in various odd stores over the years, however god bless the retail workers, especially in the era of the pandemic! That said, I encourage you to get out of retail work as soon as possible. It is good to have work, ANY kind of work, occasionally, but you need to use it as a stepping brick plus nothing more. I spent a few months toiling retail full time while I took night classes for our Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C certification, plus y’all, I am so blissful I did! The main concern with retail work, in our humble opinion, is that it makes people assume updateable, whereas a trade enjoy Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C makes people assume lavish. I no longer worry about work, nor do I do not care for our job, I care about toiling in the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C industry, plus I care about the freedom it gives me. I’m not trying to tell you that almost everyone should get into Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C work, although I would tell you to at least consider reading a trade.
