I’ve recently started coaching my daughter’s soccer team 4 days a week, however when I was approached about the position, I hesitated because I assumed that I’d be outside the whole time.
When I discovered that the team practiced inside though, I was thrilled.
The people I was with and I live in the south where the Springtime weather is temperamental; It can be pouring down rain a single hour and sizzling and humid the next. I believe I sound high repair, although I didn’t want to be stuck coaching a girl’s soccer team in the rain, heat, or humidity, practice being held inside with a temperature controlled environment sounded entirely appealing. Two weeks into our season though, the Heating and A/C plan broke at the indoor facility. I walked inside expecting to suppose some relief from the sizzling sun, however was smacked with intense humidity and what smelled care about wet socks. The lady at the front desk told myself and others that their Heating and A/C plan was currently not laboring, however they had a local Heating and A/C supplier coming to repair the equipment that day. The people I was with and I had a short practice that day and I left thinking the Heating and A/C plan would be running the following day. When I arrived the next day though, the Heating and A/C plan still wasn’t laboring. The lady at the front desk apologized and said the Heating and A/C supplier said it was a much larger task than they were expecting. It was going to take the rest of the month to fix. Knowing this and my hatred for temperamental temperatures, I cancelled soccer practice for the rest of the week.
