The system has more opportunity to filter out air contaminants.
A little over a year ago, I needed to replace the furnace in my home. The heating system was constantly having issues and requiring repairs. It was around twelve years old and probably could have continued to be fixed. I was simply tired of paying gigantic heating bills and shivering all winter. Anytime the outdoor temperature dipped below freezing, the furnace couldn’t keep up. Plus, we were trying to manage the summer heat and humidity with window air conditioners and box fans. The house was constantly overheated and sticky. I was fine with taking out a home improvement loan in order to be able to afford better quality heating and cooling equipment. I did some research and chose a high-efficiency furnace and air conditioner from one of the most recognized manufacturers. The systems are covered by excellent warranties and are Energy Star qualified. The furnace achieves a 98% AFUE and the air conditioner offers a 26 SEER. The system includes a compressor that is able to automatically adapt speed to the changing demands of the home. It can adjust in tiny one percent increments anywhere between 40 and 100% capacity. Since there is rarely a time that either the furnace or air conditioner needs to run at top speed, the system can run at lower capacity for longer cycles. This helps to keep sound levels low, draw less energy and maintain a more stable temperature. Plus, the air conditioner has more time to dehumidify. The furnace doesn’t suck so much moisture out of the air. The system has more opportunity to filter out air contaminants. This new heating and cooling option also features zoned control and wifi connectivity. We can now customize temperature in each room to satisfy personal comfort preferences and occupancy. I am saving a tremendous amount of money on monthly utility bills and yet enjoying a much more comfortable, cleaner and healthier living environment.
