I have been working a lot of long hours because I need to pay for a divorce.
- My wife and I separated a couple of months ago and I need a lawyer for the court case.
My wife is going to fight for custody of the kids, but I don’t think that she will win. I want to share custody, but she always says that my construction job comes first. I work a lot of hours, but I definitely don’t think that I put my construction job first. I haven’t been available a lot lately, but that is due to the fact that I have been working extra hours to pay for a lawyer. When my dad called a couple of days ago to ask for a favor, I immediately said sure. I didn’t realize that my dad would need a ride home from a bar at 10pm. He was only a couple of miles away from the construction job where I was working. I finished with the last of the flooring and cleaned up my construction supplies. I picked up my dad about thirty or forty minutes later. I asked my dad why he was drinking at a bar so late and he told me some incredibly bad news. Since my wife and I decided to get a divorce because we were unhappy, my mom decided to do the same thing. She told my dad that she was going to call it quits. My dad is devastated and I have no idea what to say to the guy. I barely have the will to get out of bed in the morning.
