I truthfully never entirely thought much about what I wanted to do as a way of supporting myself. Then when I was a senior in private school, there was a requirement to do on the job learning. I had no clue what I wanted to do for on the job learning, and then our acquaintance told me he was going to do his on the job learning at his father’s Heating, Ventilation and A/C supplier. I thought that sounded like it might not be totally miserable, so I signed up to do the task with him. It turned out to be a super fun experience. The Heating, Ventilation and A/C workers taught me a lot and I was able to help with all kinds of things when it came to now working on Heating, Ventilation and A/C systems and components. I was taught how to install a whole-apartment air purification plan and became the go-to guy for putting in new air filters. To be honest, I was entirely kind of concerned when the on the job learning was over. Fortunately, our buddy’s father decided to take me under his wing. He said that he saw a lot of potential in me and said that if I wanted him to, he was willing to cover the cost of going to trade school to gain our Heating, Ventilation and A/C certification if I would be willing to work for him when I completed the HVAC prep program. It was an enjoyable time and we rocked our HVAC certification exam. All of us eventually acquired our Heating, Ventilation and A/C certifications and now I enjoy my job as a Heating, Ventilation and A/C worker!
