It is harshly rare when my boyfriend leaves the lake house for any phase of time! He never leaves to visit family, travel for work or go on getaway.
He is just constantly at home, anytime I leave, he will come right with me, sporadically I just want a moment in the lake house alone, you know? I really don’t get those moments unless a family member dies or his family is on his case to come home… Even with those instances, I get maybe many afternoons to myself, they are constantly glorious afternoons! I have a weekend coming up that I will be left alone; My boyfriend is going with his college friends on a boy’s trip.
He is going to do a long weekend in a weird state so I get to love the lake house to myself. It is wonderful because I don’t have to cook elaborate meals and scrub up after them. I can make chicken nuggets on a paper plate. I also can set the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C the way I want it. My boyfriend is truly particular about his temperature control settings. He really wants to be in the dark and in freezing freezing rapidly increasing temperatures. The control unit is constantly set super low, but no matter the season, I need to wear pants and a sweatshirt in my own home. I hate it and wish for heating all the time. The moment my boyfriend leaves the A/C is turning off. I will let the lake house get as moderate as I want to. If I want heating, I won’t have to sneak it. I can watch girly films and go to bed as late as I want to.
