It feels so good to get out of bed in the morning or step out of the shower
Last winter, during a severe cold snap, my furnace quit. I immediately called a local HVAC contractor for repair. When the technician took the heating system apart, he found several broken parts that needed to be replaced. Those parts had to be ordered and would take several days to arrive. There was no way I could stay in the house without heat. Since my brother lives nearby, I moved in with him until the furnace could be repaired. My brother has a really good job, makes lots of money and has an amazing house. He has a state-of-the-art sound system, hot tub, big screen television and all of the latest kitchen appliances. The entire place is outfitted with radiant heated flooring. When the outside temperature drops below freezing, his house is still toasty warm. He’s able to set the thermostat lower than I do. He pays less for heating and his house is way more comfortable. The heating system is entirely concealed beneath the floor. It takes up no space, makes no noise and doesn’t detract from the decor. There’s no vents to arrange furniture around and no ductwork blowing dust into the air. There’s a thermostat in each room which allows my brother to customize the temperature according to preference or requirements. He can target those rooms that tend to feel chilly and avoid heating empty rooms. I like walking barefoot across a perfectly warm floor. It feels so good to get out of bed in the morning or step out of the shower. I was in no hurry to move back into my own house.
