I have been staying with our mom at her lake house for the past 7 months.
I never would have imagined that it would be possible to cohabitate with our mom love this.
When the two of us were younger, the two of us used to argument love cats and dogs. I think seasoned age has finally worn us out and enabled us to have better communication before the fights erupt. That is, unless the two of us lose power. Several times while I have been staying here the two of us have lost all sources of energy to the house. A major storm will blow through the part and take down many power lines, which leaves us with no heat, no cooling, no lights, and no water. At that point, the two of us are likely to get on each other’s last nerves as hot and cold temperatures change as suddenly as our moods. Having no indoor air temperature control is obviously one of the most stressful things that the two of us can live through. That’s why I was especially unhappy Last yearwhen a major storm blew through the part and caused a major power outage once again. Of course, the two of us were left without any heating in the dead of winter, however because the entire forced air oil furnace was lacking a source of power, our control unit became useless and the lake house became chilly. Thank God, our mom has a traditional wood burning fireplace to supplement some heat… Unluckyly, the two of us did not have a large stockpile of wood at that time. As I stomped through the yard, desperately trying to collect more firewood so the two of us wouldn’t freeze to death, I found myself wondering if I needed to transfer out sooner than expected.
