I work in a beautiful downtown office building.
Well, half the time I work from there, but the other half of the time, I work from home, which has become commonplace while in the epidemic, right? I am lucky in that I still have a job, and I am grateful, too, one thing I am not grateful for, though, is the battle I get into every time I am in the office, and you might guess it is a fight with my boss, however it’s not.
Well, then, you guess it might be with someone in 1 of the other offices in the building, however it is not. The battle I seem to engage in every afternoon is the office’s Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C equipment, then in the summer, the cooling system in my boss’s office never gets down to the control machine setting he likes, so what does he do? He sets my control machine way too low inhope of the cooling reaching his office… So, in summer time I am chilly due to the cooling system in my boss’s office, then nOw that Wintertide is here, and it is consistently chilly or close to it, I am still chilly! The Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C heating doesn’t seem to get moderate enough. I finally got sick of it and ordered an electric portable gas furnace for my office. I plug that thing in and put it on the floor and soon I have lots of heating blowing on my feet and warming me from the bottom up. Sometimes I am so cold that I put the little gas furnace right on my desk, people laugh at me when I do that, however I really don’t care. Without the heater, it is too cold for me to be able to type, and since I want to keep my job, I do what I have to do.
