It is a exhausting cycle and both of us can only break it by turning off the Heating, Ventilation and A/C system entirely.
All of the places both of us have rented in the past had central heating and air controlled by a temperature control. This place is no different. The only thing that is odd in this home is the way that the temperature control works. In past apartments you had to manually change the temperature control from heating to cooling, or vice versa. So the heating system would never turn on if the a/c was on and the a/c would never turn on if the heating system was on. In the home both of us live in now you have to set the temperature control for the heating setting and the setting. The heating system or the a/c could kick on at any time. It just depends on what temperature the home reaches. So if it’s too frosty then the heating system will kick on. If it is too sizzling then the a/c will kick on. This is great…in theory. However, in practice both of us keep running into concerns; Every one of us followed nice temperature control practices and set the heating and cooling hot and cold temperatures multiple degrees different. And yet, our heating system and a/c are regularly competing. The heating system turns on and then the heating system runs on. Then the a/c turns on again. It is a exhausting cycle and both of us can only break it by turning off the Heating, Ventilation and A/C system entirely. I hope that an Heating, Ventilation and A/C company might be able to help us make this stop. They are coming out on Wednesday. I guess the issue could be fixed if both of us got a new temperature control that only worked as or heating at 1 time, and not and heating.
