If I buy a new oil furnace in the summer, will it be cheaper?

A couple weeks ago, I had my Heating & A/C company come in & clean my oil furnace. They told me I would need to have a new oil furnace before the next Winter season began. The woman waited patiently after telling me this. I assume she was waiting for me to tell him to order a new oil furnace for me, however I disappointed him. I was wondering if I could get the oil furnace cheaper if I were to buy it in the summer. I guess that even the Heating & A/C company has mid-season sales on the outdated inventory. I thought it would be a reasonable assumption that they would also have their outdated inventory of oil heating systems on sale. I made the decision, right then, that I wasn’t going to purchase a new oil furnace at that time. Her smile disappeared when I told him I would not be putting this commission in her pocket. She finished her oil furnace servicing & walked out of the house. When summer time arrived, I was anxiously perusing the newspaper, hoping to find the perfect sale. Finally, I found the sale I had been waiting for. It was a pre-season sale that flaunted last year’s models of oil heating systems to be 40% off. They were also offering free installation. I knew I had waited for a reason, & this was the sale I was waiting for. I called the Heating & A/C company & made an appointment to check out the sale oil furnaces. It didn’t take long for them to come to the home & show me their inventory. I enjoyed that I was able to purchase without any pressure, & I got a good deal on the oil furnace.
