My sister came into the home the other day, unwrapping her scarf from her neck & acting like it was already winter.
She had constantly been a bit of an oddity, but the Winter scarf & the pretending it was cold outside was enough. She told me she had just seen the Winter forecast, & it was going to be a doozy. They were predicting record cutting snowfall & windy conditions. She said it gave her a shiver just listening to the weather forecast. I wasn’t somewhere near ready for winter, & more especially for that kind of forecast. But then, the weather forecaster had been wrong more often than they had been right. Last year was 1 of the warmest winters on record & they had predicted it would be normal to below normal. I would not go off on a tangent like my sister was. Then again, if they were right about the upcoming winter, I should at least make sure my oil furnace was ready for that kind of weather. I didn’t want to go through a windy, snowy Winter with having a good oil furnace to keep me warm. When I called the Heating & A/C company to have my oil furnace worked on, they put me on a waiting list. The woman on the phone said that various people must have seen the Winter forecast. They had so various calls for oil furnace repair that they were going to be laboring overtime for the next week. I thanked the Heating & A/C tech & told him I would be 1 of the patient customers. Now, I just had to hope that Winter would not start before the Heating & A/C company could do the servicing.
