Growing up, our kid loved to argue with us constantly.
She tried to change our minds when she was punished. Every one of us always thought she would make a superb lawyer one morning. We were not surprised when she chose law as her profession. As soon as middle school was over, she began Summer classes at her favorite school. After three years of intense classes as well as a full schedule every year, she got her degree magna cum laude from USC. After that, she was accepted into Yale Law. A few weeks ago, our kid graduated from law school with honors. Her dad and I did not get to see him graduate from the program due to the covid-19 mess. Every one of us watched from a webcam, however it wasn’t the same as being there in real life. James received a job offer from multiple law firms in the country, because she graduated in the top 5%. Even though I wanted him to come back home, the people I was with and I were very proud when she was offered a junior attorney position with a prestigious law firm near the college. I suppose she has a bright future ahead of him. She worked diligently through law school so now she gets to fulfill her dreams. She puts in long days, so it won’t be long before she moves up the ladder at her firm. In multiple years, she will really be a partner with the firm if she so desires.
