Just like the rest of us, this economic downturn has greatly effected my life and the lives of my family.
As if the pandemic wasn’t enough.
But, I guess that’s just the way it goes in this society. I want to believe that we are all in this together but, I’m just not seeing it. There are far too many people not taking Covid seriously which just prolongs and intensifies the misery. I am doing my part and it is no picnic. But, if staying inside the HVAC comfort of my home, wearing a mask when among others and being safe helps, it makes sense to do it. But, it’s also about the money and how I can make less income go as far as possible. The first thing I did was go back to limiting spending on just the essentials. That worked pretty well and got us through the worst part. Then the HVAC guy knocked on our door with some bad news. Like the pandemic and losing a quarter of our income isn’t enough! The HVAC tech told me that our HVAC unit was in need of a fairly expensive repair. There was some coil or something inside the HVAC air handler that had to be repaired within a matter of weeks. If we waited longer, it could fail and cause much more damage to the entirety of the HVAC unit. But, the HVAC is simply essential to our life. And there is no way anyone but a certified professional will be doing any sort of HVAC repair. Like everything else this year, I just have to bite the bullet on this one.
