I’ve finally decided that I’m going to take up my daughter’s offer and transport in with her, but she’s been trying to get me to transport in with his and his husband and kids for the past couple of years, but I didn’t particularly want to give up my independence.
I still don’t, however after that we had to have a double knee surgery and so now I can’t go up and down the stairs at my house.
So that’s why I’m going to go and transport in over there. I know I will have to just admit that I need help, however even though I don’t want to admit and I don’t want to accept help, I do need it right now! I guess that it will be okay residing with my child but I don’t know exactly how it’s going to go with the heating and air conditioning situation… My child is perpetually cold and while in the winter, he keeps the oil furnace turned on full blast most of the time, even while she’s sitting right next to the fireplace. I can’t know how hot he loves it in his home, and I know that I’m particularly going to be too hot at his house, however at my site, I usually keep things pretty cool in the thermostat department. I prefer to keep the temperature on the thermostat set to around 69 degrees or so year round. I know that it will seem prefer it’s cold to my daughter, and I know there’s no way that she’s going to let me be the a single setting the thermostat at their house. I know I’m going to have to buy a window unit a/c to install in my dining room once I transport in. at least that way I will be able to sleep at evening!
