It seems to myself and others that the evolution of electronic technology is just non-stop.
There are times that my old brain gets just overwhelmed by the constant tech advancement.
My emotions about tech range from amazement to terrified at times with some of the applications that I am seeing. I’m still the sort of guy who likes to come home from labor & put my feet up in the Heating & Air Conditioning while enjoying some music. Just the way I get my music changes every few years. Not that I am complaining but, sometimes I love to keep it simple. However, my number one tech advancement & application has to be the smart Heating & Air Conditioning control unit. I just love this thing. For years I have struggled to manage the Heating & Air Conditioning use in our home. The two of us live in an section where the heat is a massive deal & the Heating & Air Conditioning energy use in the summer time gets big. I have always felt that both of us over cool our home while both of us were in the peak heating hours of the summer. However, I always love to come home from the office to a cooled down house. Our old control equipment was not programmable so, I tried pushing the control equipment up quite a bit when I left for work. But it sure was boiling in the home when I got home & took quite some time to get down to a comfortable level. Unfortunately, I stopped setting the control equipment as high while I was away at work. But with the smart control unit, I don’t have to worry at all. I simply offered the thing a set of parameters regarding our Heating & Air Conditioning comfort levels & it did the rest.
