It seems like whenever it rains, I never have an umbrella to use.
I swore that my wife and I had plenty of umbrellas around the house, but whenever I need one there is never one in sight.
For example, the last few times I took my son to baseball, it started raining and there was no umbrella in the car. They had to cancel a few games because of rain, but some of those days they just played anyway. I think the kids actually enjoy playing out there when it gets a little bit muddy. Of course, it’s not exactly fun watching the game when that rain comes pouring down. For me, being caught in the rain is like being in a house without any working A/C. That’s something I really can’t stand, trying to be comfortable in a place where the A/C system is malfunctioning or not working. In my own home, I always get regular HVAC system maintenance, so that never happens to me fortunately. I have been in numerous places though where there is either bad air quality or the temperature control settings are no good. If I take my wife to a restaurant, the temperature control settings better be good or I will be on the waiter’s case to adjust the temperature control settings. My wife feels embarrassed sometimes about that, but I’m serious when it comes to personal comfort. I don’t mind making a scene if I have to. When I get caught in the rain though, there’s not much I can do without an umbrella…
